This coating is made of a combination of silver, titanium oxide and hydroxyapatite, and it prevents biofilm and infection from forming on the implant post. This means that it eliminates infection from occurring about 95% of the time, and the material actually also promotes a better acceptance of the post into the bone. This could make a huge difference in the industry of dental implants, and reduce the risk for any patients who choose the procedure.
