Kennon Koenig, D.D.S.
General Dentist
For Dr. Koenig, being able to work directly with patients and treat them just like family is his favorite part of being a dentist. His approach to oral healthcare is built around honesty, transparency, and conservative care options that help smiles stay strong and confident for years to come.
After completing his undergraduate education at UTSA, Dr. Koenig decided to further continue his education and receive his doctorate at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following graduation, he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency where he gained more advanced knowledge and skills to treat his patients.
Ever since he can remember, Dr. Koenig has known he wanted to work in the medical field where he could help others in meaningful ways. He has other family members in healthcare and dentistry and strives to always do what is best for his patients’ needs. Dr. Koenig has a very calm and relaxed attitude that most patients enjoy and appreciate.
Whenever he has free time, Dr. Koenig’s biggest hobbies include camping, going to the lake, cooking, BBQing on the weekends with friends, and exploring all of the wonderful places Austin has to offer. He also loves spending quality time with his two boxers Baily and Godiva. Another interesting fact about Dr. Koenig is that he has an identical twin brother.
Honey Bargatze, D.D.S.
General Dentist
Dr. Honey Bargatze is a native of Nashville, TN where she became interested in the field of dentistry while wearing braces as a teen. She moved to Michigan and pursued her interest while working full-time as a dental assistant and college student. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Oakland University with a B.A. in Biology and graduated in the top third of her class at the University of Detroit Mercy with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.).
Dr. Bargatze moved to Austin, TX in 2022 bringing with her 20 years of experience treating dental patients of all ages. Her passion in the field is providing comprehensive dentistry. She strongly believes that both health and esthetics play important roles in the achievement of optimum results; the goal is a happy patient with a healthy, beautiful smile.
Dr. Bargatze is excited to be providing care in Pflugerville with plans to give back to the community through volunteer work. In her spare time, she will be exploring her new town of Austin.
Matthew Largent, M.D., D.D.S.
Oral Surgeon
Dr. Matthew Largent hails from the San Francisco Bay Area where he attended Bellarmine College Preparatory, an all-boys, Jesuit institution. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington in Seattle. Educational pursuits took Dr. Largent to Texas in 2003, where he pursued a certificate in oral & maxillofacial surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
As a dual degreed oral & maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Largent was conferred his medical doctorate from the University of Texas in 2006. He was attracted to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery due to the scope of practice and the opportunity to make significant changes in the lives of patients with regards to pathology, function and esthetics. Dr. Largent is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills to better serve the dental care needs of his patients and provide them with a gentle and comfortable dental experience.
In his spare time, he enjoys distance running, college athletics, and music.

Office Manager
Nancy has been with Bright Smiles Family Dentistry since 2013. She has been active in the dental field since 1991. She is originally from Southern California and relocated to Cedar Park in 2006. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and 2 four-legged furry children and finding new things to do and places to eat in Austin.
Amanda
Dental Hygienist
Amanda was born in Round Rock and is one of our few natives in the office! She attended Schreiner University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. She then received her Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from Blinn College. She loves to cook, and can easily get lost in a good fictional book. When she's not playing with her beagle Willie, you can find her at the movies or antique shopping.

Front Desk
Ann was raised in Pflugerville and is a graduate of Pflugerville High School. She completed her license for Registered Dental Assistant in 2012 but currently works at the front desk. She has 4 beautiful children. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her children play sports and traveling.

Angelica was born in Columbia, South America and came to the US when she was 10 years old. She has been a dental assistant since 2013 with experience in pediatrics. Angelica enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Leslie
Dental Assistant
Leslie was born in Guerrero, Mexico and raised in the Austin area. She graduated from Everest Institute in 2017. Her favorite thing about being in dentistry is helping patients feel comfortable and ensuring they have a positive experience. Leslie enjoys watching soccer and spending time with her husband & family.

Erica was born in Mexico and raised in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Everest Institute in 2015 and has been a dental assistant ever since. She enjoys spending time with her kids and family.
